I have been working to learn more on machine learning.  Aside from the Microsoft technologies, which are very nice, I see a lot going on with TensorFlow.  
Here is a quick overview video I found.

This video is all about building a handwritten digit image classifier in Python in under 40 lines of code (not including spaces and comments). We’ll use the popular library TensorFlow to do this.

Surveyed adopters show their top four current opportunities are “what you’d expect: remote monitoring, energy savings, predictive maintenance/reliability, and quality. But a year from today, they expect two of those top four to include business model transformation and material optimization – not what you’d expect.
